POSITION SUMMARY-this is a hybrid position, part-time remote and part-time on-site.
The Application Analyst II collaborates with the users of our Electronic Medical Record and/or financial applications and is responsible for the design, build, integration, and configuration based on professional standards, regulations and patient safety. In this role, the analyst will maintain and build on certifications needed for the position as appropriate. The analyst will spend time further developing an understanding of the assigned application and processes and will follow departmental procedures. The analyst will work on projects of moderate scope and complexity, applying judgment within defined parameters.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience
Two-year degree in related field. May consider applicable clinical, revenue cycle or other healthcare experience in lieu of degree.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensures that all enhancement requests are being appropriately and adequately addressed in a timely fashion.
- Takes responsibility for the problems reported and ensures that a fix is provided to which the customer is kept informed and agrees. Coordinates and escalates with senior staff as appropriate to ensure that customer issues are resolved in a timely fashion.
- Participates in cross application testing with system changes, ensuring that the system changes are compatible with other applications’ workflow and processes.
- Performs other duties as assigned or needed to meet the needs of the department/organization.
- Reviews and completes new build enhancements as appropriate, utilizing resources as needed.
- Continues further education of systems and applications by collaborating with operational owners as well as senior staff.
- Provides technical support, diagnosis of application errors and troubleshooting with system issues.
- Serves as a resource person for daily operational issues within the electronic medical record.
- Embraces and promotes strong values in customer service. Seeks to understand and meet customer needs and expectations through communication, cooperation, and collaboration.
- Implements applications, tools, and processes that assist operational owners with the management of data in patient care and the provision of health care.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Clinical systems experience (Epic and Meditech a plus)
- Clinical informatics experience, hospital, and clinic setting
