The Application Portfolio Analyst will be responsible for developing and maintaining the Application Portfolio at ATS. This role involves planning, analyzing, and evaluating the software and applications used by ATS, as well as building, and maintaining the Application Portfolio. The Application Portfolio Analyst will collaborate with various ATS stakeholders to optimize application usage, rationalize the portfolio, and drive continuous improvement. The objective of this role is to maximize the value and performance of the Application Portfolio while ensuring alignment with our business goals and objectives and reducing organizational risk.

Education and Experience:

  1. four-year degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field preferred.
  2. 4 years of experience in information technology, preferably as a Business Analysis, Project Manager, Testing, or Support.
  3. Proficiency in Software Development Lifecycle and cloud technologies.
  4. Strong interpersonal skills; able to establish trust and rapport with all levels of staff. Able to relate effectively to diverse cultures.
  5. Must be detail-oriented, and analytical with creative problem-solving abilities.
  6. Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives concurrently.
  7. Must have working knowledge of IT governance, security, risk management, and compliance.
  8. Experience with change management.
  9. Must be able to demonstrate a proactive commitment to ATS corporate values and the success of all staff.
  10. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook) required.
  11. Excellent communication skills (written, listening, and verbal).
  12. Willing and able to travel infrequently, including overnight travel.

Essential duties and responsibilities:

  1. Build and maintain a comprehensive Application Portfolio, including the identification, categorization, and documentation of applications and software-based services within the portfolio.
  2. Conduct analysis and assessments of applications in the portfolio to determine their effectiveness, usage, value, and alignment with business objectives. Identify opportunities for improvement and optimization.
  3. Work with ATS stakeholders to optimize the Application Portfolio by consolidating, retiring, or replacing applications. Recommend actions to ensure the portfolio remains up-to-date, efficient, and aligned with business needs.
  4. Foster a partnership with business units, IT teams, and other stakeholders to build awareness of upcoming projects and solution deployments to ensure a full readiness state to support new systems. (Go Live readiness checklists, integration plans, security compliance readiness, infrastructure support requirements, etc.).
  5. Evaluate new software requests for their ability to provide the requested service requested.
  6. Ensure adherence to Change Management, Configuration Management, and Project Life Cycle standards.
  7. Review and evaluate application license agreements for alignment with business objectives, goals, and compliance.
  8. Assess risks associated with the Application Portfolio and develop mitigation plans.
  9. Ensure compliance with security, regulatory, and governance requirements and develop a mechanism to address compliance concerns.
  10. Establish metrics and KPIs to measure the performance, utilization, and value of applications.
  11. Regularly monitor and report on portfolio performance, making recommendations for improvement.
  12. Demonstrates, by their daily actions, ATS Mission, Vision, and Values in a consistent, effective, and reliable manner.
  13. Support ATS' culture by aligning actions, behaviors, performance, and decisions in accordance with the Company's values as set forth in our All-Employee Competencies.
  14. Complete work responsibilities outside of normal business hours as needed and infrequent travel may be required.
  15. Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
