What You'll Do
As a Production Coordinator, you will coordinate with different departments and vendors from development stage all the way to production process to ensure timely delivery and quality shipments of finished product.
- Attend handover meetings
- Manage bulk projection placed with factories; provided bulk yardage to proceed production with, work with factory on timeline, and follow up with sales on pending order
- Production order placement with global vendors and follow up to ensure on time delivery
- Follow through the complete production process, which includes lap dips, strike offs, fabrics, trims, accessories, fit, size set, pp & TOP sample approval
- Establish Time and Action calendar (tracking WIP) for overseas factories to ensure that all the goods meet delivery and quality standards Push weekly updates from factory
- Understand overall production management process and establish Work in Progress with the factories to keep orders on track
- Ensure all product is in compliance with all applicable international/U.S. laws and regulations as well as specific customer testing requirements
- Understand all principals of logistics & follow up on all inbound shipments. Ensure AS400 is actualized as soon as shipment are in transit.
- Maintain close communication with the Operations department and customer Service on inbound deliveries and order tracking; maintain weekly meetings; update QC on all incoming shipment; provide TP and approved pp sample for their cross checking
- Oversee costing process
- Maintain records and documentation of all related purchasing activities such as vendor and purchase orders in the AS400 system maintenance & ensure accuracy on pricing and delivery dates. Maintain WIP report in AS400
- Be proactive, anticipate problems, facilitate problem solving, and address issues in a timely manner
What you'll need
- 1-2 years experience in a comparable role in Production
- 2 years experience in a Product Development role preferred
- Fully proficient in Excel, Word, Outlook
- Knowledge of AS400 preferred
- Familiar with report creation and report reading
