The Paint Technician I is responsible for painting the interior and exterior of vacated apartments, occupied apartments, and other interiors and exteriors of common areas as required using lead safe practices.

What You’ll Do:
- Provide painting services of vacated apartments, occupied apartments, exterior walls, pool areas (touch-ups), exterior doors, and model apartments.
- Receive a plan of action to complete assigned tasks, including job locations and readying equipment.
- Identify and use of all required painting supplies, equipment, and PPE gear for the job.
- Work safely, following guidelines, utilizing proper protective equipment, and complying with OSHA regulations.
- Identify and reports all unsafe acts and/or equipment to Painting Foreman
- Completes final punch list in accordance with company policy, obtains required approval, and reports on proper completion of job.

What You’ll Need:
- One year of experience as a Painter is preferred.
- High school diploma, GED, or one to three months related experience and/or training.
- Organizational and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to work independently and in a team.
- Ability to prioritize and execute assigned tasks.
- Ability to interact with residents, team members, vendors, and other business contacts, respond courteously to questions and requests, and stay calm when addressing and resolving any problems.
- A valid driver’s license for the purpose of operating a community vehicle and/or golf cart.
- Multifamily housing experience is preferred, but not necessary.
What You Should Know:Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, and/or sit for extended periods of time and bend, stoop, climb ladders, reach, carry objects, and crawl (and work) in confined areas.
- Ability to work inside and outside in all weather conditions (rain, snow, heat, hail, wind, sleet).
- Ability to push, pull, lift, carry, or maneuver weights of up to twenty-five (25) pounds independently and fifty (50) pounds with assistance.
- Regular exposure to paint fumes, solvents, and adhesives.
- Attend training classes and business meetings or other situations necessary for the accomplishment of some or all daily responsibilities of this position.
