Job Description
We are currently seeking an Apartment Maintenance Technician to join our team! You will be responsible for preparing apartments for new move in's, completing resident work orders, performing maintenance repairs throughout the property, and diagnosing problems and repairs in the areas related to electrical, plumbing, painting, carpentry, dry wall, wall heaters, appliances and basic concrete work.
Responsibilities:
- Preparing vacant apartments in anticipation of new resident move-ins (including, but not limited to, the repair and/or replacement of the following: locksets, appliances, plumbing, flooring, basic electrical, fixtures, drywall, countertops, wall heaters, toilets, and garbage disposals).
- Complete resident work and general building repair orders in a timely fashion.
- Estimating time and extent of aforementioned move-ins, work and repair orders.
- Perform routine preventive maintenance around the property.
- Maintain material and supply inventory.
- General apartment turnover work (painting, plumbing, electrical, drywall, countertop, flooring & appliance installation, etc.).
- General maintenance work in and around the property.
- Assist in the supervision of outside vendors and contactors when necessary.
- Full time Monday to Friday (on call Saturday, Sunday and after hours in case of emergency).
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in maintenance or other related fields (painting, plumbing, electrical, drywall, appliance repair and installation). Apartment maintenance experience a plus.
- Knowledgeable in use and maintenance of power tools and mechanical equipment.
- Ability to handle physical workload.
- Deadline and detail oriented.
- Must own a truck and have valid driver's license.
