We are seeking a(an) Anesthesia Technician for our team to ensure that we continue to provide all patients with high quality, efficient care. Did you get into our industry for these reasons? Job Summary and Qualifications

Our Anesthesia Technician will work under the supervision of the surgical services leadership team to provide support to the anesthesiology department by cleaning, stocking, and maintaining anesthesia machines, carts, supplies, and equipment.

• You will be responsible for ordering and monitoring anesthetic agents inventory and equipment supplies. This will include maintaining par levels and checking expiration dates, and preparing syringes with local anesthetic.
• You will meet with vendors to assess new products and equipment for the department.
• You will anticipate the needs of the anesthesia group and communicate to the appropriate parties as needed.
• You will change anesthesia circuits, suction tubing, and canisters in between OR cases.
• You will dispose of contaminated supplies appropriately, check equipment for proper function, and collect used LMA and blades.
• You will maintain infusion pumps open heart supplies inventory
• You will setup equipment for special cases.
• In addition to completing all daily tasks in a timely manner, you will also be expected to communicate effectively with all parties and use proper telephone etiquette.

What qualifications you will need:

• Basic Cardiac Life Support, or BCLS Instructor must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• Associates Degree is preferred. 
• Previous healthcare experience is preferred.
