Job Summary and QualificationsThe Lead Anesthesia Technician will manage and schedule Anesthesia Technician staff, assume oversight of Anesthesia Technician’s daily workflow, manage equipment needs related to routine testing, preventive maintenance, assessing repair needs and initiating process, orders, inventories, and manage supplies for all anesthesia related locations, and ensure mandatory requirements related to equipment and supplies are completed and documented.
· You will act as the point of contact for anesthesia providers when issues arise
· Perform daily system check of anesthesia machines and troubleshoot errors
· You will order and maintain par levels and expiration dates of anesthesia supplies and stock supplies as needed
· Assist with product orders, coordinate supply substitutions with supply chain and providers
· Support turnovers by changing anesthesia circuits, suction tubing and canisters between cases
· Clean anesthesia machines and equipment and keep them in proper working condition
· Maintain equipment inventory including video laryngoscopes, infusion pumps, monitoring cables, etc.
· Maintain and monitor supplies in all carts in holding, OR, cath lab, etc. including but not limited to Malignant Hyperthermia and Difficult Intubation.
· Set up equipment for special cases – video laryngoscopes, arterial lines, central lines, etc.
What qualifications you will need:- Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
- Associates degree preferred
3+ years of experience in Anesthesia Technician role is required
Anesthesia Technician and Technologist Certification (ASATT) preferred
