Airport/BaseLiquid Fuels System Maintenance Technician

POSITION: EAST Inc., a multi-service facility management and base operations support provider to military installations, has the need for an Airport/BaseLiquid Fuels System Maintenance Technician (Liquid FuelsMaintenance Technician).
23311 (DOL SCA) FUEL DISTRIBUTION SYSTEM MECHANIC:
The Fuel Distribution System Mechanic maintains and repairs fuel storage and distribution systems, using hand and power tools and testing instruments, inspects fuel receiving, storage, and distribution facilities to detect and correct leakage, corrosion, faulty fittings, and malfunction of mechanical units, meters, and gauges, (such as distribution lines, float gauges, piping valves, pumps, and roof sumps); inspects electrical wiring, switches, and controls for safe operating condition, grounding, and adjustment, lubricates and repacks valves; lubricates pumps, replaces gaskets, seals and corrects pumping equipment misalignment and cleans strainers and filters.
Responsibilities include the inspection, testing and maintenances (ITM's) of aboveground storage tanks (AST) and underground storage tanks (UST).
REQUIREMENTS:
All Liquid Fuels Maintenance personnel must be able to demonstrate at least 5 years experience on the maintenance of aviation fuel systems.
Must be able to pass a local background check
Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening & physical
Must comply with company policies, OSHA, NEC, and base safety
Required to safely lift up to 75 pounds, climb ladders, bending, work above head with arms extended, provide manual labor as necessary and work in confined spaces
Operate aerial platform equipment from the raised platform and other gas-powered equipment as required
Must possess the tools of the trade
Required to follow oral and written directions in English
Must possess a valid state's driver's license
CDL Class B endorsement is required
Knowledge of MS Office, Excel, Word, and Outlook or similar programs is helpful
COMPENSATION:
We offer a competitive salary and benefits. Hourly wage will be $41.40 plus $12.75 in H&W and pension as a Liquid FuelsMaintenance Technician with the ability to be paid up based on additional work assignments.
