Skyryse internships are experiences optimized for student candidates. To be eligible This is a full-time (40 hours / week) internship based in our El Segundo office. As an Engineering Intern on our Certification and Safety Team, you will work on the development of certifiable flight automation technologies and cost-efficient processes for the new Urban Commercial Aviation industry.
The Summer Intern Program will run for 12 weeks starting in May / June depending on your academic calendar.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist with defining the functional hazards and developing safety requirements.
- Perform system safety assessment including Faut Tree Assessment, Zonal safety, Particular Risks Analysis and coordinate the architecture and development of the systems/ subsystems for a certifiable autonomous flight control system
- Perform safety verification activities against all the safety requirements.
- Support documentation for design, analysis, and specifications
- Work with the multifunctional teams to implement the safety requirements.
- Perform other duties as assigned
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Currently enrolled in a university pursuing your BS, MS in an engineering discipline (Systems Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Electrical Engineering)
- Graduating between December 2024 & June 2026
- Proficiency in Matlab/Simulink
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- PhD Student studying Systems, Aerospace, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering
- Prior internship experience in aviation a bonus
