We are looking to hire a motivated candidate to join our Software Business Development team, working closely with American Aerospace Defense and Government customers to enable their success by adopting Keysight Design Software solutions. You will have RF and microwave knowledge, an extended business degree, and honorably served in the US military. You will be joining a fun, high-performing, experienced team invested in your growth and development.

 

Responsibilities:

 

The Business Development Executive will report to the Software Business Development Director and will have the following roles and responsibilities:

 

  • Strategize and Implement EDA Software Initiatives:  Create and deploy a comprehensive strategy for Keysight's Electronic Design Automation (EDA) software, targeting growth and market penetration in the US Government and Aerospace & Defense industry.
  • Achieve Financial Objectives: Set and surpass quantifiable goals for orders and revenues, ensuring alignment with the company's broader financial targets.
  • Government Liaison and Funding Oversight: Monitor government grants and awards actively, ensuring prompt follow-up and leveraging such opportunities to fuel Business Development.
  • Prime Contractor Engagement: Engage with prime contractors proactively to integrate Keysight EDA solutions into their proposals, enhancing the value proposition.
  • Industry Presence and Thought Leadership: Represent Keysight EDA at key industry events, including tradeshows and conferences. Secure speaking engagements to establish thought leadership in the sector.
  • Strategic Insights and Market Expansion: Offer data-driven insights to the leadership on emerging markets, potential new industry verticals, innovative products, and strategic partnership opportunities in the US Government and Aerospace & Defense industry ..
  • Resource Coordination: Ensure cross-functional resource coordination to meet and exceed customer expectations in both technical and commercial contexts.

  • Education: MSEE or MSCS required, MBA is preferred
  • Sales and Business Development Expertise: Proven track record in sales or Business Development, with the ability to meet and exceed revenue targets. 10+ years of experience in government sales cycles and procurement processes is beneficial.
  • Government Relations and Networking: Knowledge of government funding processes and ability to navigate the landscape of grants and awards. Strong networking skills to connect with key stakeholders in the government. Familiar with the US Government Grants and Awards process. DoD TS/SCI Clearance is highly preferred.
  • Strategic Planning and Analysis: Ability to conduct market analysis and develop strategies that align with the company’s goals. Understanding the defense and aerospace market dynamics is essential.
  • Proposal Writing and Presentation Skills: Competence in crafting compelling proposals that integrate technical solutions, as well as the ability to present these effectively to prime contractors and other decision-makers.
  • Event Management and Public Speaking: Comfort with representing the company at industry events and conferences, including tradeshow management. Public speaking skills for delivering presentations and engaging with an audience.
  • Market Research and Insight Generation: Skills in conducting thorough market research to identify new opportunities. Ability to synthesize information into actionable recommendations for product development and market expansion.
  • Cross-Functional Coordination: Strong project management skills to coordinate with internal teams, ensuring technical and commercial requirements are met. Leadership skills to guide and align various departmental efforts.
  • Technical Acumen: While not necessarily deeply technical, understanding Keysight EDA software applications and being able to converse with both technical and non-technical stakeholders is important.
  • Analytical Thinking: Ability to analyze complex data sets and extract meaningful insights that can drive business decisions.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to articulate strategy, interact with customers, and collaborate with internal teams.
  • Negotiation Skills: Proficient in negotiation to secure favorable terms in contracts and partnerships.
  • Adaptability and Agility: Capability to adapt strategies based on changing market conditions and new business intelligence.

The level of role will be based on applicable experience, education and skills; Most offers will be between the minimum and the midpoint of the Salary Range listed below.

 

Pay range: MIN $119,850.00 - MAX $ 266,580.00

 

Note: For other locations, pay ranges will vary by region
