Job Title: Advocacy & Engagement Specialist
Department: MarCom
Primary Location: HealthPoint Administration Building - College Station, TX
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
- Assists with content creation and management:
Gathers and creates engaging written and visual content for advocacy communication materials such as blog posts, social media posts, elected officials' letters and emails, and the employee newsletter. Collaborates with team members to ensure consistent and informative messaging across all channels regarding advocacy and community engagement.
- Contributes to HealthPoint calendar.
- Supports the Marketing and Communications Manager in creating Advocacy and Engagement strategies.
- Supports event planning and coordination across departments.
- Assist with any photography needs.
- Contributes content for social media channels.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Effectively carries out tasks and responsibilities beyond core job duties and the primary role. The addition of duties may vary from time to time and encompass a wide range of activities that contribute to the overall success of the organization (floating, assisting co-workers, patients, visitors, customers, leaders, etc.)
COMMUNICATIONS SKILLS
Capable of handling high stress while maintaining a positive attitude.
Professional appearance, clear speaking voice and excellent interpersonal skills are required.
Must be able to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one or two step instructions. Deal with standardized situations with occasional or no variables in or from these situations encountered on the job.
Must be at a level that would normally apply to a person capable of reading at a rate of 95-120 wpm and print simple sentences containing subject, verb and object. He/She must also speak simple sentences using normal word order, present/past tenses.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Work is performed in a typical medical clinic environment.
Ability to stand, walk, sit, use hands, fingers, and talk frequently.
Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
