Position:Adult Care Nurse
Location: New York, NY
Duration: 3 Months
Pay Range: (USD)38.62 hrly - (USD)52.48 hrly
Job Summary: Client is seeking an experienced Adult Care Nurse to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years of previous acute care experience in MedSurg, Maternal and child care, Critical Care, and Pediatrics, in addition to current Adult Care home health experience. The Adult Care Nurse will be responsible for delivering comprehensive care and support to adult patients in a home health setting.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct nursing care to adult patients in their home environment.
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' health status and develop individualized care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Monitor and evaluate patient progress and adjust care plans as necessary.
- Educate patients and their families on managing chronic conditions, medication administration, and lifestyle modifications.
- Coordinate care with other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity and quality of care.
- Document patient care and maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records.
- Ensure compliance with all healthcare regulations, standards, and safety protocols.
- Advocate for patients and their families, promoting informed decision-making and patient autonomy.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of two years of previous acute care experience in MedSurg, Maternal and child care, Critical Care, and Pediatrics.
- Current Adult Care home health experience is required.
- Valid RN license in the state of [insert state].
- BLS and ACLS certification preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently in a home health setting.
