Assistant Administrator/ Operations Manager Job description
Assisted Living Facility providing Assisted Living Program (ALP) services to an adult dependent population in Brooklyn NY is seeking an experienced Assistant Administrator/ Operations manager with the following qualifications
1. At least 2 years of experience working as a full time employee of an Assisted Living Facility in New York State.
2. Excellent computer skills and familiarity with excel, word and other similar platforms
1. Managerial experience which includes having worked in a capacity that includes overseeing clinical, clerical and para-professional staff
3. Excellent organizational skills to oversee operations and ensure compliance with any state or federal regulations.
4. Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to connect and communicate effectively, in English, with diverse populations
5. Excellent written communication skills including proper grammar and professional writing.
Duties include:
1. Overseeing the ALP staff including nursing staff, Home health aides, personal care aides and other support staff
2. Submission of billing to Medicaid via eMedNY
3. Coordinating admissions and discharges of residents to the facility
4. Creating and overseeing the scheduling of staff including hiring of staff at all levels
5. Participating in various quality assurance activities of the facility including QI committee, corporate compliance committee and other related activities
6. Overseeing the HR department to ensure compliance with NYS and federal regulations including OSHA, infection control and COVID 19 guidelines
7. Creating policies and practices that ensure proper resident care.
8. Processing payroll functions in coordination with HR by monitoring punch detail and approving entries, updating records as needed, and working to resolve payroll related associate questions and issues.
9. Maintaining and review resident and employee files to ensure compliance with all applicable regulations
10. Coordinate all resident services by communicating with hospitals, nursing homes, doctors and other service providers to ensure resident receive appropriate services
11. Monitor deadlines/scheduled assessments, supervisions and other time sensitive reports to ensure they are completed timely
12. Participate in staff training , create in-service training schedule and ensure staff participation

Pay: $85,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
