The  Web Solutions Architect  is a hands-on technical solutions architect in the Digital Solutions and Services (DSS) Architecture and Engineering team. This role is responsible for leading all solutions and integration architecture for web applications capabilities that require integration of 2 or more platforms for successful delivery. As well as lead ing and support ing AbbVie’s digital marketing programs, specifically focused on Web technology stack but also extending expertise for other digital channels (mobile apps, interactive sales aids etc.) on a project need basis.   

Th e Web Solutions Architect  will work closely with different Platform Architects, engineering leads, product owners as well as enterprise architecture and  information security teams. Th is role will operate as the subject matter expert and will be the point person for all technical aspects involving platform integration and  related decisions.  

In this role you will be responsible for :  

• Leading and providing the overall “ End -to-End Integrated Solution” for Business Requirements spanning across multiple platforms (internal or external) from DSS perspective.  


• Working with all required product owners, solution architects & Platform Architects (web hosting platforms, ESB’s, Data Lake, CRM Systems, 3 rd party vendor managed systems, etc.) and providing the End-to-End Integration Architecture for the requirement.  


• Identifying high level solution and required platforms and services for a given requirement.  


• Leading Solution Design sessions with all stakeholders across relevant platforms.  


• Building Solution architecture and  integration specifications in consultation with all relevant architects and engineering leads to meet   business a nd technical constraints.  


• Acting as the integration SME and L ead by providing active hands-on consultations to the project delivery and application engineering teams throughout the project build cycle.  


• Representing DSS team while presenting the solution architecture to gain approvals from Enterprise compliance teams (Architecture Review Boards, ISRM, Data Security etc.)  


• Identifying opportunities and building proposals to scale and/or improve existing architecture patterns from an efficiency and security perspective.    


• Maintaining architecture diagrams and roadmaps for all solutions and provide documented standards and  governance for future integrations based on observed patterns.  


• Providing hands-on, expert- level, assistance to developers and the   O perations team while they are rolling out approved integration solutions .


• Responsible for compliance with applicable AbbVie Policies and procedures.


• Working with minimal oversight; deliverables and relationships that are  monitored through periodic reviews.

Qualifications

Experiences that are required for this role:  

Required:  

• Bachelor’s Degree 7 years of experience, Master’s Degree 6 years of experience, or PhD 2 years of experience .  


• 6+   years of t echnology experience in a digital marketing organization with hands-on experience leading, developing, and architecting web applications with data integrations and built on CMS systems.  


• Passion and mindset to accept and  solve business challenges by providing technological solutions spanning across multiple platforms and  services.  


• Deep expertise with the overall web stack including backend (application servers, web servers, high-level cloud architecture, AWS services, clustered deploymen t, and  high availability applications), front-end (browsers, interaction of technologies like JS, CSS, and  HTML), and networking and security (CDN’s, WAF, role of firewalls, Load balancers and  common attack patterns like DDoS, SQL injection, etc.) .  


• Deep knowledge and  hands-on development and architect level experience with any major Content Management solutions like Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) (preferred) or Sitecore.   


• Deep Expertise in application integration patterns and  modern techniques like RESTful APIs and  microservice architectures.  


• Hands on expertise with any of the modern servers side as well as client-side programming languages like JAVA, Python, JavaScript, and Node .  


• Expertise with Cloud Solution architecture and familiarity of a major cloud service provider – preferably AWS.  


• Experience and  knowledge of application security, common threat vectors, mitigation techniques, and relevant standards like OWASP.  


• Hands-on experience in using diagramming tools for architecture and solution documentation like Lucidchart, Visio, or Confluence.  


• Excellent analytical and  problem-solving ability. Ability to break down complex business requirements into simple and  solvable solutions.  


• Excellent listening and  communication skills, with an ability to partner and influence peers and  architects from other teams to arrive at a scalable solution architecture in a timely manner .  


• Experience working in an Agile Sprint based project delivery model with hands-on knowledge of JIRA.
