Administrative (Events) - Floorplan Department

Established in 1979, American Consumer Shows (ACS) is the nation's leading event management producer in the wedding and home improvement sectors. At American Consumer Shows (ACS), you will work with a fun and energetic team, passionate about growing our business and providing our clients the highest level of service. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the event management industry with an aspiring and dynamic group of professionals. Candidates must be friendly, positive, detail oriented and possess excellent communication skills. Human connection is critical, and our consumer expos make that possible.

Our Floor Plan Administrators engage in all phases of Floor Plan development: from creating initial event layouts, assigning booth space based on priority registration and guidelines, to printing show site Floor Plans, maintaining notes in spreadsheet files, and more. Daily use of Expocad, ACT, Outlook and the internet as it pertains to Floor Plan duties, this position requires an extremely focused individual who enjoys computer work, puzzles, and research. Tech savvy candidates that are methodical, precise, analytical, and possess the highest attention to detail would best fit this role. Experience with CAD & Excel preferred.

· Strong written and verbal communications skill and the ability to multi-task in a high-volume environment

· Strong familiarity with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word

· Flexibility and openness to take on new projects and tasks and work in an ever-changing and growing company

· Knowledge of operation of standard office equipment, clerical, and administrative procedures such as filing and record keeping, reporting on, and analyzing data, administrative writing skills, organization and problem solving
