Brentwood Arts Exchange is currently searching for a motivated, organized, and personable individual to become a part of an inspirational team of a unique and extraordinary arts center located in the Gateway Arts District in Brentwood MD. This applicant must have experience with customer service in a front facing establishment, flexible hours to work during off hour events and programs, and proficiency in Microsoft Suite.
- Core Administration Duties Include but are not limited to:
- Organization skills to properly create, file, and establish systems for maintaining matters such as:
- Managing and producing purchasing orders.
- Managing vendor information.
- Overseeing summer camp data.
- Filing responsibilities
- Office inventory
- Assisting management with staff scheduling.
- Core Front Desk Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Greet visitors and answer phone calls.
- Perform opening and closing duties.
- Receive, sort, and distribute mail within the Gateway Arts Center, and interdepartmental mail.
- Perform routine office functions including but not limited to faxing, copying, binding, keyboarding, community calendar postings, etc.
- Assist with facility bookings, sales, customer accounts, and class/workshop/camp registrations.
- Work as a host at special events.
- Maintain the cleanliness of all areas of the facility along with other staff members.
- Set up and maintain the galleries or classroom as needed for specific classes and events.
- Tally the number of visitors and guests who visit the gallery daily at the end of the day. At the end of the month tally visitor log and record in file.
Brentwood Arts Exchange serves as an anchor for the thriving art community in the Gateway Arts District, providing contemporary art exhibitions, music and film series, family workshops, rentals, summer camps, and our Artisan Shop, which displays unique, functional artwork from local artists in the greater Maryland area.
