We are seeking an organized, detail oriented, loyal assistant, with a friendly, upbeat and professional demeanor that doesn't mind doing both repetive work, as well as performing a variety of different tasks. LPD offers step by step training and job security, as we have been around since 1963, and have a close knit group of team members that make up our family styled team environment..
This person should be able to provide high quality accurate support work for general office, sales team & purchasing manager. LPD is on the Northern side of Madison Heights, bordering Troy, less than a mile from Oakland Mall.
SALES ASSISTANT DUTIES:
- Enter outside rep sales, key account and e-commerce orders.
- Print sales orders.
- Help sales team take the overflow of any incoming sales calls.
- Support sales management and outside sales representatives.
- Run weekly sales reports.
- Run bi-weekly backorder reports.
- Update customer contact information in our computer system.
- Process occassional parcel post package.
- Assist with invoicing orders.
- Assist with customer and vendor return processes.
- Assist with any customer reported damage claims.
- Assist with social media posts
BUYER ASSISTANT DUTIES:
- Assist buyer in getting estimated time of delivery of purchase orders.
- Contacting suppliers about any price discrepancies and resolving corrections.
- Update any price changes into the computer system and online catalog on our website.
GENERAL OFFICE DUTIES:
- Perform general office data entry as needed.
- Download and respond to general company email inbox.
- Update company calendar and track important dates.
- Process and sort mail into various mail trays.
- Process postage for outgoing mail.
- Miscellaneous tasks on special projects as needed.
- Assist with planning company events or tradeshows.
JOB REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum 1-2 years experience in a professional business office environment .
- Minimum of 1-2 years phone work or customer service experience.
- Some experience preferred, in performing sales support or purchasing support.
- High school diploma or equivalent, however, B.A. or B.S. preferred.
- Excellent attention to detail, must be highly accurate.
- Excellent phone communication skills.
- Neat handwriting.
- Strong data entry and word processing skills, being accurate, but quick.
- Excellent grammar and punctuation.
- Ability to get along with a wide variety of people.
- Strong ability to follow up and follow through with all assignments.
- Strong organizational & prioritizing skills.
- Ability to multi-task at relatively fast pace.
