Job Description
- Handling office tasks, such as ordering, tracking lab, DME and Imaging orders.
- Tracking and follow up of ordered labs, DME and imaging to assure tasks were completed.
- Importing data into the medical EMR system and communicating with physician(s) and mid-level providers timely and accurately.
- Accurately complete Title XIX, long-term benefits, handicap placards, FMLA or other documents as requested. (will train how to complete forms)
- Screening phone calls and routing callers to the appropriate party when deemed appropriate.
- Using computers efficiently to generate reports, orders and responses to requests.
- Maintain HIPAA compliance.
- Maintain polite and professional communication via phone, e-mail, and/or mail.
- Anticipate the needs of others in order to ensure their seamless and positive experience.
- Prior administrative experience in a medical office.
- Excellent computer skills, especially typing.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Multilingual preferred but not required.
- Desire to be proactive and create a positive experience for others.
