Job Description and Duties

Under the general direction of the Deputies Chief of Staff, the Executive Assistant will perform varied administrative and analytical tasks to assist the Executive Office. The Executive Assistant must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, establish, and maintain good working relationships with the department, partner agencies, executive staff, and the Legislature. The Executive Assistant will serve as a single point of contact for communication and coordination for Executive related issues and requests as directed by the Chief of Staff. The Executive Assistant will exercise a wide latitude in performing difficult and complex administrative assignments including but not limited to supporting statewide project creation and implementation, prepare and draft confidential and sensitive briefing documents.

Working Conditions

Candidates with the most desirable qualifications will be invited for interviews. Interviews will be held in Sacramento, California. This position serves at the pleasure of the Governor and is an “Exempt” position, therefore appointment to this position and salary are subject to executive approval.
