Job Description
We are seeking an Administrative/Funeral Assistant to join our team Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday from 9-5. You will perform clerical, funeral and administrative functions in order to drive company success.
Responsibilities:
- Draft correspondences and other formal documents
- Plan and schedule appointments and events
- Greet and assist onsite families
- Answer inbound telephone calls
- Develop and implement organized filing systems
- Perform all other office tasks
- Assisting with the setup and handling of Viewings, Funerals and Memorial Services, Etc
- Assisting with maintaining the facilities of the funeral home between services
- Driving funeral vehicles to include service vehicles and removal vehicles
- Performing removals of the deceased (when needed)
- Taking remains both to and from the crematory
- Schedule waste removal
- Communicate with vendors for merchandise orders
- Assist the supervising mortician
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in office administration (EDRS experience preferred)
- A professional, clean appearance
- A warm, courteous attitude towards both families and co-workers
- A personality that pays attention to detail
- Demonstrate a problem solving approach to situations, critical thinking skills.
- Ability to prioritize and multitask
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong organizational skills
- HS Diploma or GED
