JOB PURPOSE/REASON:
To perform specialized clerical duties within the Office of Safety & Risk Services in District matters, under general supervision in conformance with established methods/procedures. Frequent contact with district personnel and the public. Performs work under conditions that include frequent interruptions. Job requires attention to detail, the ability to work independently and strict confidentiality.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION: High School Diploma or Equivalent
EXPERIENCE & TRAINING:
At least two (2) years of secretarial/clerical experience.
PRIMARY POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assists Director with the daily operations of the Safety & Risk Services office;
- Deals with internal and external customers both in person, by telephone, and by email;
- Fulfills records requests from the Legal Officer that are related to FOIA requests or legal cases.
- Learns school district policies and procedures to provide requested information and perform assigned duties;
- SafeSchools administrator responsible for setting up and maintaining the annual training plan, generating compliance reports, provide troubleshooting assistance for all district employees and set up custom training courses when needed;
- Maintain department budget - i.e. completing budget transfers, requisitions, purchase orders, and maintaining spreadsheet of daily transactions on all Safety & Risk Services accounts;
- Works with FEMA and South Carolina Emergency Management Department (SCEMD) after a disaster to enter claim information into their portal for reimbursement;
- Assist with managing insurance documents and/or policies and communicating with internal/external customers on district insurance policies, district insurance claims, requests for certificates of insurance, etc.;
- Complete various documents for audit requests and reports;
- Deals with confidential information on a daily basis;
- Performs administrative duties as assigned, i.e. P-card liaison, Administrative Bulletin binder, departmental budget binders, CCSD Policies book; maintain office supplies, manage department files, direct office mail, etc. and
- Performs all other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Pay: $36,806.00 - $59,846.00 per year
