The ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT Position
Sunnova Energy is currently searching for an Administrative Assistant primarily supporting the Executive Assistant to EVP, Chief of Commercial Operations.  This position handles a wide range of complex and confidential duties. This role requires excellent calendaring and prioritization skills, attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple critical requests at the same time.  This position includes assisting the Executive Assistant with executive matters including back up support when EA is out of office.  Additionally, the Administrative Assistant will be responsible for making travel arrangements, calendaring, expense reporting, facilities initiatives and other necessary tasks as required, exercising independent judgement in accomplishing these tasks.  The ideal Administrative Assistant will initiate professional growth and development by meeting goals, offer support on department base goals, be self-motivated, trustworthy, able to handle tasks with little supervision and ensures a smooth running of our company's offices.
ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT Responsibilities
    • Exercises independent judgement and discretion in working with executives; anticipates executives' needs.
    • Manages the travel arrangements, calendaring, expense reporting, and other assistance where needed.
    • Remains available for responding to situations when executives are out of office on business travel, including travel changes, calendar updates, handling of in-office issues, etc.
    • Assist Executive Assistant on executive matters, back up support to CCO when EA is out of office
    • Ordering team and dealer items when requested
    • Keeping track of inventory for dealer items
    • Assist with expense reporting
    • Handle catering requests for department lunches when needed. From start to finish, making sure all is set up and put away when meetings are done.
    • Offsite company errands as requested
    • Assist with company functions as requested by EA, exercising independent judgement and discretion when accomplishing the details
    • Interaction with all team functions and assist when/where needed.
Minimum Requirements
    • Education required: High School Diploma or GED
    • 3+ years of Proven experience as an Administrative Assistant
    • Proficiency using Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, and Outlook
    • Excellent time management skills, ability to multi-task and prioritize work
    • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; maintain a high level of professionalism
    • Strong organization and planning skills in a fast-paced environment
    • A creative mind with an ability to suggest improvements
    • Excellent customer service skills required 
Preferred Qualifications
    • Experience with a variety of office software including email tools, spreadsheets, and databases, and be able to accurately handle administrative duties
Additional Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
    • Similar or related experience in office administration.
    • Experience supporting executives and working with all levels within an organization.
    • Works with a sense of urgency and can multi-task
    • A good communicator, working with all departments throughout the company.
    • Exceptional ability to solve problems, exercising independent judgment, and coordinate with global team members.
    • Ability to work independently with little supervision.
    • Able to lift approximately 20 lbs
    • Ability to successfully manage multiple tasks and timelines in a fast-paced environment, bearing high levels of responsibility and accountability.
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills, allowing for open, honest, and consistent communication.
Working Conditions and Physical Requirements
    • Open office environment when in Houston office
    • Extended periods of time working at a computer workstation
    • Ability to move/lift 25 lbs.
