Job description

Qualifications Required:

The incumbent is responsible to promptly and professionally process service center paperwork to include but not limited to Invoicing, Returns, and Accounts Payable. Additional responsibility is to maintain the accurate processing for COD (Cash on Delivery) and Credit Card transactions. Incumbent will need to utilize the computer system for product inquiry, product receiving, and order processing, and, various administrative duties as assigned. As needed, Incumbent will also have responsibility to stock glass products and deliver to the customers promptly and courteously using excellent driving habits.

Qualifications Required:

- High school diploma or equivalent (GED) - Preferred

- Professional phone voice and demeanor

- Superior customer relations skills

- One-year previous clerical and/or customer service experience

- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)

- Organizational skills

- Previous phone experience

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

- Proficient in English language (verbal and written)

- Must possess valid driver’s license and maintain acceptable MVR according to Pilkington Auto Glass Replacement (AGR’s) standards

- Ability to read maps

- Without assistance, must be able to lift windshields weighing 35-45 pounds average on a frequent/daily basis, and on occasion up to 70 pounds.

- Ability to operate a forklift, order picker, and basic hand tools

- Excellent attendance record

- Must be able to work in temperatures similar to outdoors within the area of assigned service center

Qualifications Desired:

  • Ability to learn computer-based inventory control systems
  • Personal Computer skills including computerized inventory system
  • Previous driving, material handling, and glass experience
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Excellent driving record
  • Knowledge of delivery area

Essential Functions - Service Center Administrator

- Assists walk-in customers.

- Promotes teamwork and works to maintain positive work environment.

- Complies with all J-Sox requirements.

- Responds to customers’ needs and complaints in a timely manner.

- May be required to take orders from customers in a professional manner.

- Invoice customer purchases and returns accurately and timely.

- Researches and responds in a timely manner to AGR Credit Department in Toledo and customer inquiries in regards to payments, statements, delinquencies, credits, etc.

- Review reports for accuracy to include timeliness in customer COD payment submission.

- Maintains accurate file system for customer orders, canceled orders, and returns.

- Assesses carefully and submits accounts payable invoices for payment as required.

- Receives and adjusts inventory accurately and timely as directed by local management.

- Handles freight claims and Traffic Voucher Logs according to policy and procedure.

- Obligated to keep confidential any information that pertains to customers and competitors.

- Complies with all safety policies and procedures.

- Develops own industry knowledge.

- Orders miscellaneous office supplies.

Essential Functions – Warehouse/Driver:

  • Delivers glass to customers promptly.
  • Develops and maintains good customer relations at all times.
  • Develops and maintains positive local work environment at all times.
  • Works closely with the lead person to achieve a high level of complete customer service.
  • Receives orders from warehouse office.
  • Locates required parts in warehouse and removes from stock.
  • Visually inspects glass and loads parts accurately on the truck.
  • Receives glass shipments and unpacks incoming trucks.
  • Stocks the warehouse, putting parts in their assigned racks.
  • Checks inventory to maintain its accuracy.
  • Complies with all safety policies and procedures.
  • Assists local management in maintaining inventory system accuracy through cycle and physical inventory instructions.
  • Assists local management in coordinating driver delivery routes.
  • Locates and pulls product for will-call customers and completes necessary paperwork for proof of pick-up.
  • Takes orders from customers over the phone in a professional manner when customer service representative is unavailable.
  • In cases of emergency or an injury or accident, notifies manager of incident immediately and assist as needed.
  • Actively participates in team meetings.
  • Performs other related duties, as assigned, by local management.
