Position Summary
La Salle University's Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders, with a CAA-accredited MS program in Speech-Language Pathology, seeks an adjunct professor. Adjunct teaching opportunities may include undergraduate and graduate courses across the curriculum and graduate student clinical supervision. Given our emphasis on teaching, collaboration, and clinical training, candidates will have an understanding of evidence-based practice, community-based learning, team approaches to service delivery, and integration of teaching and clinical practice. At this time, we have a specific opening for our undergraduate Introduction to Audiology course to be taught in Fall 2021.
Essential Duties
• Develops syllabus and course content
• Selects textbook and other course materials
• Teaches undergraduate, graduate, and online courses as assigned
• Uses Learning Management System (Canvas) to post course content and grades
• Maintains availability to meet with students concerning course
Required Qualifications
• Earned Master's degree (speech-language pathology) or AuD (audiology)
• Must have CCC-SLP or CCC-A (Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology or Audiology) granted by the American-Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA)
• Must hold PA licensure as a speech-language pathologist or audiologist
• Knowledge of and commitment to the mission of La Salle University
Preferred Qualifications
Expertise in one or more of the following areas is preferred: audiology, pediatric speech-language pathology. Other areas of expertise will be considered.
Physical Requirements and/or Unusual Work Hours
Evening and weekend work may be necessary when teaching graduate courses.
Some clinical courses require travel to external sites.

This is a pooled position from which Adjunct Instructors will be selected when/if a need arises in the department.
