Greenery Center for Rehab and Nursing is looking to hire a caring and compassionate Activities Director to join our team! Our mission at Greenery Center for Rehab and Nursing is to offer quality care to our residents, and to provide for them a loving and compassionate environment, attending carefully to their physical, spiritual, and emotional needs. The primary purpose of the job position is to plan, organize, implement, evaluate and direct the Activities Programs in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards governing the facility and as directed by Administrator, to ensure that the emotional, recreational, and social needs of the residents are met and maintained on an individual basis. Job Responsibilities: Plan, develop, organize, implement, evaluate and direct the activities in the facility. Plan and schedule movies, parties, games, projects, crafts, resources, and field trips for residents at least one month in advanceAssist and supervise residents with activities;Assist bed patients with writing letters, running errands, making appointments, etc.
Identify and monitor spiritual, social, recreational, and emotional needs of residents through routine interviews, visits, and consultations with residents and their families. Encourage residents to develop physical and educational skills through participation in activities Develop and maintain rapport with all services to ensure that a team effort is achieved in developing activities for all residents. Consult with residents and their families. Promptly report to nursing personnel any noticeable changes in residents' conditions.
Attend Meetings/care confrences
Maintains a precautions/limitations list on each residentEncourages resident participation in group and individual activities, including recreational activities, arts/crafts.
Community outings, religious activities, intellectual/educational activities, etc.
You will need at least 2 years of experience in social or recreational program within the last 5 years OR an accreditation from a recognized accrediting body
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour
