POSITION GOAL:
Oversee the management of high school student Activities and accounts, and assist with coordinating the overall high school and middle school student athletics program.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensure high school and middle school student clubs, activities, and athletics comply with policies and procedures related to student organizations in collaboration with principals, coaches, and advisors.
- Advise and assist with development of new clubs and consult with advisors to ascertain programmatic needs on an annual basis, and assist the Athletic Director prior to each season to ensure consistency of district programs.
- Provide logistical leadership for secondary OJR Activities and clubs, and assist the Athletic Director, in matters related to the review, process, and approval of fundraising events; and the recommending, supervising, and evaluating of secondary student activity advisors, coaches and athletic trainers.
- Maintain and publish a calendar for student Activities and assist with developing athletic schedules, assigning officials, requesting security as necessary, and organizing contracted and in-house transportation (buses, vans) for all high school and middle school student activity and athletic events.
- Direct tickets sales and deposits related to events and activities held by district clubs and departments, and assist with overseeing athletic ticket sales and deposits, requisitions, purchase orders, charge orders, officials' vouchers and inventory of supplies and equipment for all student activity and athletic programs in compliance with established policies and procedures.
- Lead communication efforts related to Activities and clubs, coordinate award ceremonies and public-facing events related to student Activities and athletics - including college signings, receptions, etc.; and assist the Student Activity Club Advisors and Athletic Director with updating webpages, promoting performances, posting of scores, etc.
- Represent the School District in matters and events related to district Activities and athletics, and as liaison with local, district, regional and state organizations.
- Assist with matters of compliance and eligibility, including but not limited to the development of regulations, student activity, coaches' and athletic program handbooks, maintaining eligibility records for all extracurricular participants to include monitoring student grades (PIAA compliance), maintaining necessary records and completing required paperwork in a timely manner, including but not limited to the Title IX report required by PDE; and assist with developing budgets and maintaining appropriate expenditure/income processes and reports as per district policies.
- Coordinate and assign use of school facilities for Student Activity and Athletic District and PIAA, events; scheduling for high school and middle school facilities to include logistics, fields, lighting, and security, and assist with overseeing proper maintenance of facilities and equipment for school-based Activities and athletic functions.
To successfully perform this position, a person must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The qualification requirements listed below represent minimum levels of educational achievement, training, skill and/or ability necessary.
- Bachelor's Degree required.
- Experience managing student activities preferred.
- Experience in athletics as a player and/ or varsity head coach preferred.
- Organizational and time management skills .
- Advanced written communication skills, to include the composition of correspondence and reports.
- Ability to communicate effectively with administrators, staff, parents and students.
- Effective problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Proficient computer skills; including Microsoft Office database applications, Google Suite, Arbiter, Schedule Star, and/ or other sports related software, and business software.
- Submission of PA School Personnel Health form.
- Current Act 34, Act 151 and Act 114 clearances.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
- 10 months.
- Minimum starting at $71,944 (prorated for months per year); based on experience.
- Salary and benefits according to the agreement between the Board of School Directors and the Management Team Compensation and Evaluation Plan, Policies #327 and #333-339.
- According to the School District Policy Manual (available online at www.ojrsd.com).
