Accounts Receivable Specialist

Merchology is looking for a proactive and detail-focused Accounts Receivable Specialist to become an integral part of our Finance team. Reporting to the Accounting Manager, the ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, possess strong organizational skills, and demonstrate excellent communication abilities.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

An Accounts Receivable Specialist will:

• Process daily customer invoicing and cash application.
• Research and resolve incoming customer inquiries relative to Accounts Receivable, billing, and collections while establishing and maintaining customer relationships through superior communication and customer service skills.
• Partner with Customer Service and Sales and ensure customers receive great service by processing invoices, returns, and credit memos timely and accurately.
• Review and analyze Accounts Receivable aging reports to prioritize collection efforts.
• Utilize accounting software and systems to manage invoices and payments.
• Assist with sales and use tax administration.
• Other accounting and general administrative duties as needed.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• 2-5 years of experience in an Accounting role
• Bachelor's or Associate’s degree in Accounting or related field
• Proficiency with GAAP and basic principles of accounting
• Collaborative and professional interpersonal and organizational skills
• Skills in Microsoft Office, Adobe and Google Sheets. NetSuite a plus

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• 2-year business administration or accounting degree
• 1-3 years of prior Accounts Receivable experience
• Experience with NetSuite and or HubSpot

• Remote hybrid role: Three days onsite and two days remote following training - there is no option for fully remote work
