Accounts Receivable Specialist

What are we looking for?

We are looking for an Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our team in Decatur, AL. The Accounts Receivable Specialist will be responsible for ensuring accuracy and timeliness of invoicing, collections and reconciliations. Additionally, the Accounts Receivable Specialist will collaborate with project managers, customers and vendors and will be the point of contact for all billing inquiries for the Decatur, AL office. The Responsibilities

• Process and monitor Accounts Receivable transactions, ensuring accurate and timely invoicing and payment collections.
• Reconcile Accounts Receivable ledger to maintain accuracy and completeness of financial records.
• Communicate with vendors and customers regarding billing inquiries, payment discrepancies, and overdue accounts, aiming to resolve promptly and maintain positive relationships.
• Collaborate with project managers to address customer-related billing and payment matters.
• Assist in month-end closing activities, providing support for financial reporting and analysis as needed.
• Conduct regular reviews of Accounts Receivable aging reports and follow up on outstanding balances to minimize overdue accounts and improve cash flow.
• Analyze trends in Accounts Receivable transactions and provide insights and recommendations to management for process improvements and optimization of revenue collection processes.

The Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED required.
• Associate or bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance or Business Management preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of Accounts Receivables experience.
• Clean background and a valid driver's license.
• Strong communication, interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with others.
• Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.

The Plus's

• Experience with Deltek+Computer Ease Accounting Software.
• Experience with Accounts Receivables for a construction company.
