About the opportunity:
The Accounts Receivable Specialist handles all tasks in the Accounts Receivable, credit and collections areas while providing superior customer service.
What your contributions will be:
- Carries out billing, collections, and reporting activities according to specific deadlines
- Processes customer payments and maintains comprehensive files of payments received
- Performs routine calculations
- Researches and resolves payment discrepancies
- Monitors customer account details for non-payments, delayed payments, and other irregularities
- Investigates and resolves customer inquiries
- Processes, adjusts, and reconciles customer accounts as needed
- Maintains Accounts Receivable files
- Communicates with internal and external customers via phone, email or mail
What you will bring to the team:
- Ability to maintain a working knowledge of accounting practices and regulations
- Ability to communicate with internal and external customers in an articulate, professional manner, while maintaining the necessary degree of confidentiality
- Detailed oriented and able to prioritize tasks, adapt to change and meet deadlines in a timely manner
- Must have a positive attitude with emphasis on teamwork
- Must be comfortable making collection calls as needed
- Ability to anticipate and react in a dynamic business environment
- Ability to comprehend and execute instructions and information with accuracy
What you will need for success:
- Associates Degree and or 2-5 years of experience in the field or related area
- 3 years experience in Accounts Receivable and billing preferred
- Experience with Microsoft Office a must
- Salesforce, FinancialForce, and QuickBooks knowledge a plus
