Accounts Receivable/ Payable Clerk

Job Title: Accounts Receivable Clerk

Duties:

- Perform account analysis and reconciliation to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data
- Process and post customer payments accurately and in a timely manner
- Generate and distribute customer invoices
- Monitor accounts receivable aging and follow up on overdue payments
- Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies or disputes
- Maintain accurate records of customer transactions and interactions

- Answers the phone, take customer orders, maintains Outlook Calendar

- Attends weekly meetings

- Mailing the monthly customer statements generated by the business system

- Posting merchant card and electronic payments from customers

- Add new customers to the database

- Posting customer payments to their accounts and preparing the checks to be sent to the bank electronically

- Maintain all files as related to billing and payments to provide accurate records for yearly audit including photocopying records as needed.

Requirements:

- Strong understanding of debits, credits, and technical accounting principles
- Proficiency in account analysis and reconciliation
- Excellent negotiation skills to resolve payment disputes effectively
- Familiarity with corporate accounting procedures and policies
