VRC is seeking a Accounts Receivable Specialist III that is a highly organized, self-motivated individual who has the ability to handle billing / AR for a large company. The primary responsibility of this position is to assist in the day-to-day accounting needs, with responsibilities in activities such as all aspects of Accounts Receivable, invoices, billing structures, and other accounting functions. As a key member of the VRC Accounting staff, the Accounts Receivable Specialist will assist in all facets of the company pertaining to accounting such as completing tasks alone as well as with other team members under management supervision. All team members must have excellent computer skills, be able to multi-task, and problem solve. This position is a full-time position located in our corporate office in Denton, TX and will report to the VP of Finance.
The successful candidate will have related experience in one or more of the follow areas:
- 2-3 years’ billing/AR experience
- Accounting or Finance degree, preferred
- Meeting deadlines/multitasking
Core Duties & Responsibilities:
- Prepare and apply customer payments (e.g. ACH/EFT, checks; credit cards, etc.); Expert in cash applications
- Research complex transaction posting and summarize to provide response to inquiries
- Perform and research all ongoing daily collections
- Process and research payment issues such as chargebacks, duplicate payments, unauthorized deductions, etc.
- Ability to reconcile monthly the AR general ledger with the AR sub-ledger
- Ability and knowledge to process debit memos, credit memos and AR adjustments
- Review data and audit for accurate information
- Ensure timely collections of A/R
- Analysis of Accounts Receivable to proactively identify issues and opportunities
- Assist other team members in daily functions
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Be highly motivated and possess the ability to work under little supervision
- Proven ability to perform collections activities, including prioritizing follow-up actions
- Demonstrate ability to effectively manage time, organize multiple projects, and understand directives
- Strong Data Entry Skills
- Experience with Intacct is a plus.
- Previous experience in insurance claims handling or fraud investigations is a plus
- Ability to read, decipher and summarize information quickly
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications to include Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word
- Must pass a drug test and pre-employment testing
- Upon hiring you must proficiently learn and utilize all electronic tools as required within the scope of this position to include the company's IMS case tracking system

Compensation:
VRC employees are paid on a bi-weekly basis at an hourly wage ($21.00 - $24.00/hr) to commensurate with experience.
