Purpose of Position
To provide an outstanding service experience for Cold Creek vendors through excellent communication, follow up, and diligent oversight with our customers. This position is ideal for the person who understands how customer balances are derived. This position is the gateway to our customers and requires exceptional communication, a pleasant demeanor, strong attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills. The Accounts Receivable Specialist is part of the Administration Team at Cold Creek and reports to the Financial Director.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Performs daily billing functions; generates invoices for delivery based on individual customer preferences.
- Prepares and posts cash receipts to customer accounts on a daily basis.
- Researches discrepancies and debit memos to accurately process, issue and post credits/debits to customer accounts as necessary.
- Maintains accurate customer information in database according to company procedures.
- Manages collection process.
- Maintains strong customer relations with our clients, assisting in billing and service questions.
- Reconciles daily cash receipts by type.
- Posts general entry of daily activity at EOD.
- Assisting with month close out procedures.
- Assist with other duties throughout the company as needed
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree in Accounting or related field preferred.
- Proven experience as an Accounts Receivable Clerk or similar role.
- Knowledge of corporate accounting principles and practices.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Real Green and RetailEdge) and Microsoft Office Suite (particularly Excel).
- Strong understanding of basic accounting concepts, including debits/credits and general ledger coding.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Exceptional customer service skills for effective communication with internal teams and external customers High organizational skills.

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements
- · Position requires working typical business hours, Monday-Friday.
- Must be comfortable in an office environment, including periods of sitting at a desk.

Pay: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
