Accounts Payable/Administrative Assistant
BSC America is searching for experienced candidates for the position of Accounts Payable/Administrative Assistant to join our growing accounting team. Please review the list of responsibilities and qualifications.
Summary:
Under the CFO’s Supervision, The Accounts Payable/Administrative Assistant is responsible for coordinating accounts payable activities of processing, verifying and reconciling supplier/vender invoices. There will be administrative duties as assigned. The role requires experience and judgement to plan and accomplish goals. A certain degree of organization and confidentiality is expected.
Duties and Responsibilities:
· Prepare, input, and process vendor invoices and other information required for weekly payment processing for companies.
· Process invoices through data entry as well as an automated payable system.
· Monitor vendor discount opportunities.
· Setup and maintain vendor records in compliance with company policy.
· Process outgoing payments such as checks, ACH and wires.
· Accounting and Administrative work using Excel.
· General administrative duties (file, copy)
· Administrative duties including filing, scanning and assisting team on various projects.
· Manage business vendors.
· Coordinate and provide administrative support in a high-volume department.
· Liaise with internal teams such as Operations, Human Resources and Accounting as needed.
· Well organized with a high degree of discretion and confidentiality.
Qualifications:
· Must be intuitive, resourceful, and be able to take initiative on projects
· Good Computer Skills (Microsoft Office suite)
· Knowledge of computerized accounting (Sage)
· Intermediate skills in Excel a must
· Problem solving abilities and good organizational skills
· Must be comfortable interacting with higher level executives
· 1-2 years of administration/coordinator experience
Education:
· A.A. degree in Accounting or 2-3 years of A/P Accounting
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.00 - $23.00 per hour
