Summary
Perdue AgriBusiness has an opportunity for an Freight Payables Coordinator at our facility located in Salisbury, MD
This position is responsible to issue freight payments promptly and accurately, to audit rates and surcharges

Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Follow up on freight carrier payment issues and inquiries
- Review of Unpaid Accrual Report- follow up with carriers to retrieve outstanding tickets
- Preparation of Outstanding Direct Ship ticket report- follow up carriers and settlement processers as needed
- Run and Audit the Changed Weight Report. Enter freight adjustments to correct any issues
- Pay manual freight invoices as needed
- Audit/review of previous days freight payments for reasonableness
- Correction of load authorization issues- update accruals as needed
- Reconciliation and payment of Brokerage Invoices
- Back up the Freight Supervisory position
- Develop and Maintain procedure documentation for all routine work activities
- Other tasks as assigned by Supervisor
Minimum Education
High School or equivalent
BS degree in Accounting or Business or related experience preferred
Experience Requirements
- Understanding of standard software applications
- Strong organizational and analytical skills
- Strong math and communication skills
- 1-5 years preferred
Environmental Factors and Physical Requirements
- Normal climate controlled office environment
- Able to communicate on the telephone and use standard office equipment
- Able to move freely throughout the facility
