Position Summary:
Under the daily direction of the Controller, the Accounts Payable Administrator is responsible for assisting the properties, accounting staff and construction staff. The Accounts Payable Administrator may also be asked to perform other duties as assigned by the Controller
Physical Demands:
- While performing the duties of this position, employee is regularly required to walk, use hands to handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear
- Noise level in the work environment is typical of an office setting
- Must be able to utilize a computer keyboard to enter text and data for long periods of time
- The ability to sit for long periods of time at a computer
- Gross manipulation to grasp, seize, or turn hands to utilize scissors, handle files, and or invoices
- Employee sometimes may be required to stand, kneel, crouch, bend-over, pull and push
- Employee rarely is required to lift and/or move up to 20 lbs.
- Employee is frequently required to handle/use a computer, calculator and office equipment
- Employee is constantly exposed to indoor conditions
Essential Duties:
- Charge expenses to accounts by analyzing invoices
- Pays vendors timely and accurately
- Verify vendor accounts by reconciling monthly statements
- Reconciles processed work by verifying entries and balances
- Monthly mortgage processing
- Research problems under the direction of the immediate supervisor as required.
- Adhere to policies and procedures, as well as maintain effective internal controls
- Work as a team player in evaluating and resolving discrepancies, as needed
- Perform additional duties as assigned
- Prior to cutting checks, verify invoices are properly approved by predetermined controls
- Prior to cutting checks, verify all lien releases if applicable are in the file and agree to the check amount
Responsibilities:
- Research problems under the direction of the immediate supervisor as required
- Adhere to policies and procedures, as well as maintain effective internal controls
- Work as a team player in evaluating and resolving discrepancies, as needed
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Required Experience & Skills:
· Proficiency in Word, Excel and Outlook
· Experience with Yardi and Payscan payables preferred
· The ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
· Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, decimals and percentages
· Reasoning Ability: Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations
· Language Skills: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence
Education/Training:
· High School graduate
· Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred

Pay: $70,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
