Form of workThis position supervises the Accounts Payable staff to ensure invoices are processed and paid timely and accurately. Must be a great leader, mentor, and communicator to a large team to ensure the goals of the department and company are being met. Must be a positive role model for the team.
Essential Job Functions:
- Manage, lead, and coach the Accounts Payable staff
- Understand processes/requirements for making payments globally
- Processing domestic and International wire/electronic payments on the banking websites
- Interviewing and hiring staff
- Yearly reviews of staff
- 1099 reporting
- Audit PO and Non-PO invoices
- Payment proposals
- Perform monthly closing procedures
- Run weekly reports
- Prepare journal entries
- Resolve invoice issues with Transportation, Customer Service, Inventory, and Purchasing
- Petty Cash
- Audit and confirm Vendor Master
- Special projects and other duties as assigned
- 4 - 5 years of Accounting experience (Accounting courses +)
- 2 - 3 years of supervisory experience
- SAP experience is preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel & Word (vlookup & pivot tables)
- Knowledge of freight and inventory
- Ability to handle multiple projects at a time
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Good written and verbal communication
- Strong people skills and communications skills
- Must be proactive and have a strong sense of urgency
- Must perform well under pressure; must be able to recognize and meet deadlines as prioritize accordingly
- Must be a team player and able to work with other individuals outside the department
- Willingness to perform other departmental or cross-departmental duties as required
Pay: $74,000k annually
