Address Accentuate Staffing is currently seeking an AP Specialist for a growing construction client located in Raleigh. The AP Specialist will play a crucial role in managing vendor relationships and maintaining financial records. This is a fast-paced, high transaction position that is highly visible to both internal and external customers. This is a full time, permanent position.
Responsibilities:
Verify all invoices received are accurate, including proper pricing and backup documentation.
Code invoices to proper general ledger, job, and cost code accounts
Reconcile vendor statements to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
Perform light administrative duties, including daily mail opening and distribution.
Prepare weekly and monthly Accounts Payable checks
Maintains all Accounts Payable files
Send out Notices of Payments to Subcontractors as needed
Communicates cash requirements to the Controller
Answer all vendor inquiries promptly and professionally.
Assist in monthly closings as needed
Requirements:
Associate's degree in accounting with 2+ years of experience OR 5+ years of experience in an Accounts Payable role.
Experience in construction, job-costing, and progress billing
Experience with progress billings and AIA Payment Applications
Working knowledge of Certificates of Insurance and Lien Waivers
Working knowledge of Notice of Subcontracts and Notices of Payments
Organized and professional attitude
Good communication and interpersonal skills
