Accounts Payable Clerk

Our Accounts Payable Clerk will be assisting our Accounting Director in the day to day operations of our accounting department.

Job Duties:

• Clarify any questionable invoice items, prices or receiving signatures
• Maintain copies of vouchers, invoices or correspondence necessary for files
• Obtain proper information and/or data regarding invoice payments
• Prepare vouchers listing invoice number, date, vendor address, item description, amounts and coding per accounting policies and procedures
• Post business transactions, process invoices, verify financial data for use in maintaining Accounts Payable records
• Provide other clerical support necessary to pay the obligations of the organization
• Maintain meticulous records of outstanding payables
• Practice effective monitoring to ensure invoices are received and entered in a timely manner

Requirements:

• A degree is not mandatory
• A degree in the following subjects would be beneficial: Finance or EconomicsoBusiness StudiesoAccounting
• GED or Diploma
• Prior experience is preferred
• Work well in a team environment

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $13.00 - $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 16 per week
