Position Overview:
Offix LC seeks a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our finance team as a Part-Time Accounts Payable Clerk. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and timely processing of financial transactions, maintaining vendor relationships, and contributing to the overall efficiency of our finance department.
Responsibilities:
Invoice Processing:
- Review and verify invoices for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with company policies.
- Code and enter invoices into the accounting system with a high level of precision.
- Resolve discrepancies and issues related to invoices promptly.
Payment Processing:
- Prepare and process payments to vendors via check, electronic transfers, or other approved methods.
- Reconcile payment transactions and maintain accurate records of all payments.
Vendor Management:
- Establish and maintain positive relationships with vendors, addressing inquiries and resolving issues professionally.
- Collaborate with internal departments to ensure accurate and timely processing of vendor invoices.
Expense Reports:
- Review and process employee expense reports, ensuring adherence to company policies.
- Verify receipts and reconcile expense transactions.
Record Keeping:
- Maintain organized and up-to-date Accounts Payable files and documentation.
- Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes.
Compliance:
- Stay informed about relevant accounting regulations and ensure compliance with company policies.
Qualifications:
- An associate degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is preferred.
- 1-2 years of experience in Accounts Payable or general accounting.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with vendors and internal teams.
- Capable of handling multiple tasks in a deadline-driven environment.
