Accounts Payable / Accounting Assistant

Fit Recruiting is seeking an Accounts Payable / Accounting Assistant to compile, process, and maintain Accounts Payable records, as well as perform basic bookkeeping duties and filing.

PRIMARY DUTIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Preparing and processing checks for multiple companies in QuickBooks
• Recording bank deposits
• Maintaining vendor files, including ensuring that paper backup for all vendor checks are on file
• Updating and maintaining vendor databases
• Preparing vendor 1099s
• Reconciling vendor statements
• Coding invoices
• Maintaining Accounts Payable files
• Maintaining general company files
• Reconciling bank statements
• Posting year end adjusting journal entries
• Providing clerical and administrative support to management as requested
• Other duties as assigned or required based on business needs.

REQUIREMENTS:

• High School diploma
• College level courses in computers, accounting and/or business are helpful.

• 3-5 years of successful experience as an Accounts Payable clerk or bookkeeper.
