What you'll do
The Accounting Support staff is responsible for various tasks and processes associated with the Finance Department such as providing support in areas of accounts payable, accounts receivable and general accounting. Accounting Support is responsible for ensuring all tasks and duties are completed accurately and timely. The Accounting Support will interact primarily with other employees, bank representatives, state regulatory representatives and others as required by the specific assigned tasks.
In this role, you'll also:
- Run surcharge reports, send invoices to be processed, maintain AR, and deposit checks
- Perform Flex transfers and maintain the Flex reconciliation
- Perform Claim Recovery Transfers
- Submit bank Positive Pay Exception decisions on bank website
- Reconcile FBO Account activity against bank statements and the ARP file (daily check register files compiled into monthly spreadsheet)
- Perform onsite deposits for corporate accounts, flex accounts, and For Benefit Of (FBO) accounts
- Perform Abandoned Property due diligence and escheat funds to the appropriate state when the property is still unclaimed
- Update monthly analysis fee spreadsheet for all For Benefit Of (FBO) accounts
- Oversee and sign off on Healthy Directions monthly AR and prepare deposits
- Maintain 1099-HC queue for insured who didn't receive a form
- Assist with coordination of the yearly 1099 Miscellaneous process
- Perform check tracers as needed
What you bring
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- One to two years' accounting experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
