Job Description
SUMMARY
Applies principles of accounting to process financial transactions and other daily accounting activities by performing the following duties. This is an "in office" position with occasional work from home time.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensures business unit is compliance with all ITW Corporate policies and guidelines.
• Vouchering invoices/debit memos, insuring invoices are approved according to the established expense authorization levels.
• Prepare monthly accounts payable accrual entry
• Process manual checks, ACH's, FX wires or other established payment methods.
• Record cash flow entries for cash out transactions
• Help foster vendor relationships by timely follow-up to resolution
• Yearly 1099 reporting
• Accumulating/processing Accounts payable netting information. Coordinate with AR Specialist to insure all netting transactions are processed timely
• Set up new vendors and manage monthly new vendor add report
• Manage all online vendor websites for new invoices
• Review daily receivers for accuracy
• Review and action the RNI report to keep RNI up to date.
• Follow up with vendors/internal customers to resolve invoicing issues promptly
• Manage AP Microsoft outlook inbox, monthly statement review, etc.
• Optimize processes to ensure all vendors with early payment discount terms are paid within the discount period.
• Cross training with AR specialist
• Cross train with Staff Accountant to support the department as needed and position the company with a stronger pipeline for future growth opportunities.

Qualifications
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Associates Degree in Accounting or 2 or more years of professional experience. Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
Able to apply all accounting principles and formulas. Proficiency in Microsoft office products.
Able to solve problems in ever-changing environment.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Able to effectively communicate and relate ideas, suggestions, and concerns in a constructive and professional manner.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
Typical office environment, cubicle-style office layout. Adequate lighting, adjustable chairs and computer equipment to best fit ergonomic requirements. Minimal walking distance to office peripheral devices.
