Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Accounting Manager/Controller to lead our accounting team. This role is crucial in managing staff accountants, overseeing client accounts, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and contributing to our strategic financial planning. The ideal candidate will be a dynamic leader with a solid foundation in accounting principles and the ability to adapt to the evolving needs of our firm and clients. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of staff accountants, promoting a culture of excellence and collaboration.
- Oversee client accounts, ensuring the delivery of exceptional service, accurate reporting, and client satisfaction.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulations, and laws.
- Engage in strategic financial planning and decision-making with senior management.
- Optimize accounting processes and systems for greater efficiency and accuracy.
- Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements, budgets, and forecasts, offering strategic insights.
- Coordinate with external auditors, tax advisors, and other professionals as necessary.
- Identify and implement financial improvement and cost reduction opportunities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
- CPA certification is required.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting, including at least 2 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Xero, with a keen interest in leveraging technology to enhance financial processes.
- Strong understanding of GAAP, tax laws, and financial regulations.
- Outstanding leadership, team management, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage client relationships effectively and communicate complex financial information clearly.
- Strategic thinker with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
