Fit Recruiting is seeking an Accounting Manager to perform and oversee the accounts payable, receipts, credit approval, & collections functions. This position assists the CFO with general ledger maintenance, financial reporting, human resources, and payroll functions and requires a detail-oriented individual with strong analytical skills and a proven track record in accounting and finance.
PRIMARY DUTIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Accounts Payable: Manage and oversee the accounts payable process, ensuring accurate and timely payment of invoices, and maintaining positive relationships with vendors. This includes maintaining vendor files, including ensuring that paper backup for all vendor checks are on file; updating and maintaining vendor databases, as well as reconciling vendor statements.
- Receipts: Monitor, record, and reconcile incoming receipts, ensuring accuracy and proper documentation.
- Credit Approval: Evaluate and approve credit applications, establish credit limits, and maintain credit records.
- Collections Functions: Oversee the collections process, ensuring timely and effective communication with clients to secure outstanding payments.
- General Ledger Maintenance: Assist the CFO in maintaining the general ledger, ensuring the accuracy and completeness of financial records. The position will perform some bank reconciliations and journal entry postings.
- Financial Reporting: Collaborate with the CFO to prepare and analyze financial reports, providing insights into the company’s financial performance.
- Human Resources: Assist in human resources functions, including payroll processing, benefits administration, and compliance with relevant regulations.
- Other duties as assigned or required based on business needs.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
- CPA designation or master’s degree preferred.
- 3-5 years of successful experience.
