Court Runner

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented individual to fill the Los Angeles County Court Runner position. As a Court Runner, you will be responsible for ordering legal case files and reviewing the internal documents, to attain pertinent information. Traveling to different courthouses is necessary!

Responsibilities:

• Ability to use critical thinking and analytical skills to evaluate retrieved data.
• Collaborate with court clerks to obtain accurate data.
• Order case files and review files for requested information.
• Ensure the accurate and timely delivery of the data.
• Maintain the integrity and confidentiality of case files during retrieval and delivery.
• Keep accurate records of document retrieval and deliveries.
• Organize and manage case files to ensure easy access and retrieval in the future.
• Communicate effectively with legal professionals, court staff, and other relevant parties.
• Provide updates on the status of document retrieval and deliveries as needed.

Qualifications:

• Administrative/clerical experience, preferred but not required.
• High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in legal studies is a plus.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
• Comfortable using technology for accessing court databases and managing electronic documents.
• Valid driver's license (with an impeccable driving record) and reliable transportation.
• Deadline and detail-oriented
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• A cell phone that has ability to download the applicable email APP
• MUST provide proof of FULL coverage Insurance

Pay: $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15 – 30 per week
