Newtek Technology Solutions, a subsidiary of NewtekOne, is seeking an Accounting Manager to join our team!
Job responsibilities to include:
- Manage daily accounting processes for multiple entities
- Manage the month-end close process by working with Staff/Senior Accountant to complete month-end tasks
- Reconcile monthly Intercompany DTDF account with other entities.
- Create and input monthly JEs, reconcile balance sheet accounts
- Financial statement preparation and analysis for internal and external parties
- Assist in the annual budgeting process
- Proactively implement enhancements to policies and processes in order to further the effectiveness and efficiency of the Accounting Department as a whole
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor of Accounting or equivalent degree (4 year program)
- 5 years + of accounting experience, mix of public and private preferred, but not required
- Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- CPA preferred but not required
- Multi-tasker who can appropriately prioritize responsibilities including regular tasks and ad-hoc requests
- Personable team-player who can interact with different stakeholders in an effective manner while establishing and building upon relationships
- Fast learner who has the ability and drive to be proactive and further business objectives
