In this role, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the accounting department, ensuring the seamless execution of financial activities. The Accounting Manager will be responsible for managing the accounting team, overseeing the month-end close process, reviewing journal entries, and driving efficiencies in the accounting department.
This position is a full-time exempt role with an annual starting salary of $100,000. The work arrangement is remote, and we are specifically seeking candidates who reside in one of the states listed below.
As an Accounting Manager, you will:
- Manage and lead the accounting team, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Oversee the month-end close process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial statements.
- Review journal entries and account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and compliance with GAAP.
- Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to drive efficiency and improve processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Assist with the preparation of financial statements and other ad-hoc reporting as needed.
- Assist with quarterly and year-end financial audit activities.
You should have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- CPA certification preferred
- A minimum of 4 years of accounting experience
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting requirements
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Accounting Software
