Job Responsibilities Perform basic accounting duties, including execution of daily operations activities performance of month-end close activities balance sheet recons inventory reconciliation plant close profit/loss analysis special project(s) Job Requirements Strong analytical abilities, problem-solving skills and a solutions focused mindset are necessary to adapt to a rapidly changing environment Possess initiative, as well as strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills. Collaborate with local colleagues to provide insight and support strategic goals Dedication to utilize technology applications that are critical to performing accounting functions STRENGTHS OF A SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE (qualifications) Able to complete an internship in the summer (May/June-August 2024) Must be geographically flexible to relocate to ADM sites Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree with a major in Accounting with an anticipated graduation between December 2024 and Summer 2026 Preferred GPA of 3.0 and above with 12-15 hours in the following classes: Principles of Accounting I and II; Intermediate Accounting I and II; Cost Accounting; Business Law (preferred) Ability to function effectively, both independently and with a team Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as the ability to collaborate within various levels of an organization Expert organizational and time-management skills Proficiency in using the Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook and Teams Open to interning in Decatur, IL. INTERNSHIP DETAILS Internships are typically 10-12 weeks in duration Interns are paid hourly for time worked, and are typically provided housing for the summer Interns are responsible for transportation to and from work ADM requires the successful completion of a background check.
