Responsibilities
- Reviews all invoices for appropriate documentation and approval prior to payment.
- Reconciles carrier statements to ensure accurate and timely accounts payable processes for the agency.
- Prints and obtains necessary signatures on all disbursements.
- Distributes signed disbursements as required.
- Reviews and analyzes carrier premiums/commissions discrepancy reports.
- Maintains all accounts payable reports, spreadsheets, and files.
- Reviews and analyzes the General Ledger for accuracy in departmental coding.a
- Assists in accounts payable related aspects of month-end and year-end closing cycles.
- Coordinates agency state licensing requirements for the corporation and agency employees.
- Enters checks/electronic deposits on a daily basis; credits accounts receivable balances and commissions to applicable client/broker/carrier accounts.
- Enters/imports/reconciles direct bill commissions statements on a daily basis based on funds received.
- Reconciles broker payments on a monthly basis, creates/sends distribution reports and initiates payments
