Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team as an Accounting Clerk. As an Accounting Clerk, you will play a vital role in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring the smooth operation of our accounting department. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to develop their skills in accounting and gain valuable experience in a corporate setting.

Duties:

- Assist with accounts receivable and accounts payable functions

- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records

- Prepare and process journal entries to accurately record financial transactions

- Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures

- Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts

- Utilize accounting software to perform various accounting tasks

- Perform administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and document management

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field is preferred

- Proven experience working in an accounting role or similar position

- Strong knowledge of general ledger accounting principles and practices

- Proficiency in using accounting software

- Familiarity with technical accounting concepts and procedures

- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines

- Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)

- Knowledge of law firm timekeeping system is a plus

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $23.00 - $28.00 per hour

Expected hours: 25 – 35 per week
